Pastor Erick Knight
Senior Pastor
Hello, my name is Pastor Erick Knight, and I am the Senior Pastor here at Victory Baptist Church. My wife, Staci, and I were born and raised in Houston, TX. We were married after graduating high school, and that was when I began a career in the United States Army. At the same time we were stationed in Hawaii, my wife graduated from the University of Hawaii with a BS in Mathematics. At the same time, I began working as a Military Police Investigator, conducting covert and overt drug operations for the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID). During that time, my supervisor, who was an Independent Baptist preacher, began to witness to me about my need for salvation. After a year of working under this witness, I recognized my sinful, lost condition and accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior.
I felt the call to the ministry came while working as a Special Agent for the CID in Fort Hood, TX while attending Victory Baptist Church. It was during this time that my wife first recognized her need for salvation and accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior as well. In 2003, we were transferred to Fort McPherson, GA., where I eventually separated from the Army after 13 years of service. In 2007, I graduated from Bible College and returned to Victory Baptist Church as the Associate Pastor. In 2010, we felt the Lord moving us to Thailand, where we assisted in starting Nakhon Sawan Independent Baptist Church and Bible College before returning to Victory Baptist Church as the Senior Pastor in 2013. My family and I have a heart for reaching the Fort Cavazos area with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and training men and women for future service to the Lord.

Pastor Brett Bishop
Associate Pastor
Hi, my name is Brett Bishop, and I am an associate pastor at Victory Baptist Church. Growing up in Indiana, I was not exposed to the truth of God's Word and the glorious grace of His Gospel. However, as an 18-year-old college student attending a church play with my future wife, I realized that I was a sinner and accepted the sacrifice Christ made for me at that moment. A few years later, I married my wife, Amy, and we have four children.
While finishing my undergraduate work and even my graduate school career, I felt God wanted something different for my life. I felt that God was calling me to preach and be a pastor. At that point, I began pastoring at Baptist Bible Church in Chalmers, Indiana. A few years later, I was called to help pastor the church my wife grew up in, Bible Baptist Church of Rensselaer, Indiana. During this time, God called me to a completely different region of the nation, Texas. While teaching full-time at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor, Pastor Knight asked if I wanted to come on staff as an associate pastor. Through much prayer, I felt that is where God was leading me, and I accepted the invitation. I am excited to be a part of what God is doing in this church and what He will do.

Pastor Darris Miller
Associate Pastor
Hi, my name is Darris Miller, an Associate Pastor at Victory Baptist Church. I lead the Salvation Junction children's ministry. I accepted Jesus on a Saturday night in October during a revival in 1985 at the tender age of twelve. For thirty-one years, I have been joyfully wedded to my cherished bride, Yvonne and together we have been blessed with two precious daughters.
God called me to work with children while serving in the military in Ansbach Germany in 1996 and have been around children's ministry since. Upon being stationed on Fort Hood, now Fort Cavazos, my wife and I, remained steadfast in our devotion to the Lord's work. In 2011, while attending a leadership conference God placed a call on my heart to full time children's ministry. I surrendered to the call and this journey has been adorned with His boundless blessings beyond measure.
